Free concert featuring renowned pianist Andrei Romanov

Location: Parish House History Center, 1 Dyke Road, Setauket, NY

Join us for a free concert featuring renowned pianist Andrei Romanov with guest mezzo-soprano Wanmei Zhang. The evening will showcase Romanov’s new work, "7 Musical Moments (2025)", alongside a stirring Prelude in B minor, Op.32 No.10. The program also includes Rachmaninov’s evocative Vocalise (Op.34), as well as his pieces Do Not Sing, My Beauty (Op.4 No.4) and Spring Waters for Piano (Op.14 No.11), performed with Wanmei Zhang. The concert concludes with Medtner’s expressive Sonata-Reminiscenza in A minor (Op.38 No.1). All are welcome to join in this celebration of classical music.

History Center Exhibit: Baby Boom to Bicentennial

Be a part of a new exhibit coming Memorial Day weekend 2025!  Caroline Church’s History Center will be presenting excerpts of memories from the early days of Camp DeWolfe.  Submit your fond (or not-so-fond), humorous or serious memories from your times at Camp DeWolfe between the years of 1946-1976, for inclusion on our storyboard.  Memories will be kept anonymous.  Submit text, photos, and more to Marcia at seaman275@gmail.com with “Camp DeWolfe” in the subject line.  Submission deadline is April 1, 2025.

Free Concert Series: Piano Recital ft. George Kostopolous

Our Free Concert Series returns! Join us for a piano recital in the Parish House, featuring brilliant pianist and composer George Kostopolous.  FREE ADMISSION; you won't want to miss it!  George Kostopoulos is a New Jersey born composer/pianist, living in New York City since 1988.  He graduated from Kean College in 1979 with a degree in classical music.  The Bay Brass performed his “Prelude & Fugue in Dm” in December 2003 at their annual Christmas concert in San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral.  Since then, his primary focus has been piano composition, resulting in 5 books of “Mood Pieces”, fanciful melodic pieces based on unusual scales or “modes”.  He will perform a number of these mood pieces during the recital.
